The psychedelic wizard has wizarded himself away
The stars have changed, and it's a different day
Ones from his group never stay
But thank you.
I found what I was looking for.

Give Me Sympathy

I have come to the realization that I am an incredibly unsympathetic person at times. Most of the time, I'm all for the underdog, but when the underdog is being sympathetic enough to themself for the both of us, I don't feel the need to drown them in tenderness.

Horrible things happen to people, but when you can't step back and say "yeah life sucks, but I can pull through this because I do have some things going for me" you're just purposefully digging yourself deeper into misery. And on top of that, some things that happen in life, you ask for. Actions have consequences. If you can't accept the consequences of your own actions I can't either.

It's just really presumptuous to assume that everyone else's life is perfect and you are the only one that bad things happen to. Worse things happen to some people, but we all have our own burdens to bare, and you'd get a lot more respect for caring about other people's troubles more than your own. When you just sit there complaining about everything it's a total slap in the face to everyone who cares about you because it's like saying "My life sucks so much that not even having all of you in it to help me out makes up for it."

Obviously I'm going to stand by people no matter what, and sometimes people are going through such hard times that they can't see past it. I get that, it just gets frustrating backing people up in certain situations because it feels like I'm just encouraging their pity party. I do because it'd be horrible to straight up tell it like it is when somebody is miserable, but please people YOU'RE WORTH MORE THAN THAT. If you're being strong through your troubles, other people are going to respect you more and give you more sympathy than if you run around telling everyone about every little thing that has ever gone wrong and whining about it every day.

That all sounds really harsh, but people need to start taking responsibility for their lives and stop blaming it all on circumstances and other people. Why not look at the bride side and appreciate what you DO have than always be miserable because you choose to only see the bad.

It just breaks my heart that people settle for so much less than what they really deserve in life because they think it's all they're going to get. I just want the best for them and wish they could be at least partially happy in a lasting way.

Life is made up of good and bad, that's the beauty of it. Learn to see the beauty and accept the bad. Don't embrace it, just understand it exists and be prepared to not let it defeat you.

8 am

So this is how we live,
Programming our sleep in five minute increments.
No time for the present, forgotten about the past,
and blatantly ignoring the future.
Breathing is just second nature
living is just second nature
We're doing it because we can, not because we want to
We can't accept our lives because we have not learned to
truly live them.
No consequences for actions that we didn't intend or plan
When you're in stasis, you are guilt free, pain free.
But that's just science fiction.

421

I’m swimming,
I’m flying.
Soaring through this empty lighted street
In a black sedan.
Is that the end or does it just keep going forever and ever?
I'm shrinking and I can’t connect with anything around me,
Just all that’s ahead, and it’s not really ahead,

It’s here,
It's over there,
it’s disappearing.
No...it’s ahead again.
Whyohwhy.

I’m going to take a nap.
My stomach can’t take this.
And I promise it wont happen again.

Finale

I feel as though the madness will never cease.

It’s always raging,
each and every day.
But in these storms of happenings,
these tumults of laughter and sorrow,
We find the beauty that makes up our lives.

And so, when I say this madness will never end,
I pray that I live to feel it all.

Freedom Hangs

Shh, don't make assumptions,
We all like rolling around in the grass
We all like being here, there, everywhere.
And dancing in the dark, of course.

It's an age old thing,
We've all run around, world spinning
to the sound of our lives.
Once you get past that, what is left?

We all die one day,
things come and go,
Don't hold on with an icy grip
and don't watch it all go swirling by you
while you hold everything back.

Forget those who have forgotten,
Give only as much as you want,
And don't drive home: you can't and you shouldn't.
Not now anyways, maybe tomorrow,
when you have better places to be.

And whatever you do
Don't. Fall. Asleep.
(Unless you have someone to keep you warm
it gets pretty cold on the couch)
